Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital follows the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
