The event was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the flight we r enroute to heathrow". Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper". These messages were published on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes. The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and locations referenced. For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later. Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment. 'I'll make sure you're well looked after' Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017. He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We're going to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - early next year." But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant. A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ". Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded". Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after." UK Politics Discussed in Messages The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year. On the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Boris and Mogg." Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he continued: "They are attempting to move on. May today / tomorrow…" Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so people see the dedication of your follow-up." Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the guys here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up". May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in late 2018. A representative for the political party told media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred. The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year. Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his archives. A portion of those referenced Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was initially charged.
