The most recent action-packed game that gamers experienced was Far Cry 6, which starred Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the bad guy, Antón, and was released back in October 6, 2021. As a series, it is known for celebrating chaos and madness with similar excitement, all while weaving captivating, politically driven stories. It’s no surprise that the network’s new order for a Far Cry limited-run show brought on board two producers whose creations have embodied all of those things.

About the Series

Based on Ubisoft's successful video game series, the short-run anthology series will stream on Hulu and is being made by FX Productions. The show will also parallel the video games' format by introducing a new location and ensemble in every instalment.

Key Producers

Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will work as lead producers on the series under their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

What’s Next

Mac will also feature in the show, but at the time of writing, we do not know what character that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently approved for a second instalment, with FX and Disney signing a new long-term contract with the creator.

A time frame for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has remains undisclosed. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
