This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement across the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re right.
